This assignment is designed to help you to setup an environment to facilitate performance testing.
Prior to beginning this lab, create a text or wp document to record your results. Name the file CS3540L11Observations.
At specified steps, record your observations and/or answer the question. This document will be uploaded at the end of the lab.

1. Perform a cold back up of your full database. Record your observations.
   What files did you backup? What would be your plan to use this backup for data recovery?
   
   
2. Perform a datapump export of your database. Record your observations.
   
   
3. Corrupt your database.
   One method of corrupting the database is to replace one of the datafiles with another non-Oracle file.
   Record what you did and what you observed when you tried to open Oracle with the corrupted file(s).
   
   
4. Recover your database from your cold backup. Record the process and observations.
   Did you use the recovery plan from step 1? Did the recovery work successfully?
   
   
5. Insure that your database has been completely recovered. Describe the process and observations.
